This website was created by Butler University Students as a part of their freshman year seminar. It is taking a closer look at the city of London and four quality monuments in the city. The monuments are Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, The Gherkin and The Tower of London. Each of the separate web pages explore the history of the building, the architect, structural details of the building, unique aspects of the site, symbolism, what it is used for, and importance to the city. This website is used for educational purposes only and is made by students who attend Butler University. BiographiesThe Buckingham Palace webpage was made by Bailey Severe. She is a freshman with a major in Biology and pre-physicans assistant as well as a psychology and neuroscience minor. She is interested in family, friends, animals, being outdoors, playing and watching sports, but especially the Denver Broncos.
The Big Ben webpage was made by Kendall Keeling. She is a freshman with a major in Human Movement and Health Science Education and a Recreation and Sports Studies minor. She is interested in playing sports, UK basketball, watching Butler athletics, and playing with puppies.
The Gherkin webpage was made by Hattie Saylor. She is a freshman who plans to declare her major in Strategic Communications with a minor in French. Her interests include puppies, hanging out with friends, traveling, watching Parks and Rec, reading Chelsea Handler books, cheering on the DAWGS, and most of all Starbucks.
The Tower of London webpage was made by Gabbey Nolan. She is a double major studying International Business and Spanish. She is very passionate about UK basketball, go Cats! She also loves to play soccer, watch Butler basketball, and loves to travel.
